This is heaven on multiple levels. Thank you. But are you being super ironic when you seem surprised that Mr Hiddleston can dance? I'm genuinely not sure. But if not, please Google these words: 'Tom Hiddleston dancing chatty man'. Then get back to me.

I actually like the alternative lyric 'groovers in the house' very much but just on the off chance someone is trying to find it...

I haven't seen any of these films but I know who the actors are from other films and shows they've appeared in. Tom Hiddleston's dance moves are a thing to behold, surely everyone knows that from a tv chat show appearance. This production sounds amazing!

Much Ado is ALREADY my fave ~what I wouldn't give to see TH & Atwell do this pairing of Beatrice & Benedick! Any chance this will be a filmed production for eventual broadcast, somewhere in its run? Not AT ALL the same as being in the room, but as close as I'm likely to get.

The value of culture? Priceless.

The cost of culture? Beyond affordable…

But that, I suppose, depends on your definition of culture.

West End prices are way beyond affordable for the majority of people in this country, so I would imagine the definition(s) of culture used here are not necessarily the same as those used outside the North and South Circulars.

Which is not your fault, Rosie, but it is, collectively, ours for allowing such a chasm of inequality to exist in the first place. For anything such as this, that makes Shakespeare accessible and vital and relevant, should be available to all. Of course, not everyone will want it, but it should be available for any and all who would want it.

Glad you enjoyed it, though, Tom Huddleston and all…ha-ha! But Hayley Atwell, too? I’d make the pilgrimage from Berlin myself just for her!

It's tricky. It should be cheaper but honestly the place was FULL with a non-Shakespeare crowd.

And that, I know, is something to celebrate.

A recent production of The Merchant of Venice with no starry names plays in rep in Edinburgh recently. £38 top price I think. Sold out most nights and I’d say a very mixed audience.

Sounds vg. I think perhaps the Scots might be a bit more culturally confident! Or maybe M of V is on the Highers papers this year (my son did it for A Level 2 years ago).

I'm sorry to be disagreeable, but...

"That is if you discount the viewpoint of the entire audience, which is at Drury Lane for one reason and one reason only. LOKI."

The entire audience - MINUS ONE! I will be there for one main reason - and that is definitely Hayley Atwell. Nothing against Hiddleston, but Atwell has an impact that Hiddleston just doesn't have on me.

For the sake of clarity, I should admit that I have never seen a Marvel film. Not even on TV. Not even one with Atwell. I suspect I am part of a demographic (MANK - Middle-Aged, No Kids) that has missed out on Marvel.

Either way, Team Atwell or Team Hiddleston (or Team Atwell-and-Hiddleston, it sounds like I should expect a great afternoon out.

I stood shoulder to shoulder with him paying for petrol the other day, heard his voice, didn’t turn to look. He has such a distinctive presence. This performance appeals. 👌🏼
